Cortijo de Torres Street Market is the largest mercadillo in Malaga, with around 315 stalls and two cafeterias spread across the fairground on Avenida de las Malagueñas. It sets up every Wednesday from 9am to 3pm. For many locals, Wednesday mornings here are a long-standing tradition. Bring cash, as most stalls don't take cards. Get there early for the best selection, as popular stalls start packing up well before closing time.
The market is also known as the Mercadillo de Cortijo de Torres. Note that there's a separate Sunday flea market at the same site, which focuses on second-hand goods and antiques.
What you'll find
One side of the market is dedicated to fresh produce, with around 33 stalls of fruit and vegetables from farms in the Guadalhorce valley, plus stalls selling sweets, nuts, plants, and flowers.
