Markets in Algaida
Balearic Islands, Balearic Islands
Markets in Algaida centre on a single weekly street market held every Friday morning. This small town in the interior of Mallorca, about 26 km east of Palma, draws local farmers and stallholders to its main square each week.
The Algaida Street Market sets up in Plaza Mayor and runs from 8:00 to 13:30. You'll find around 25 stalls selling fresh produce straight from local farms, along with clothing, leather goods and handicrafts. It's a market aimed at residents rather than tourists, so prices tend to reflect that.

The Friday street market is Algaida's only regular market. Stalls spread across the open-air Plaza Mayor with a mix of seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, textiles and footwear. The market is wheelchair accessible and pet friendly, and most stallholders accept both cash and cards.
For bigger market days, Palma and Inca both have larger weekly markets worth the short drive.
