About Markets in Spain

Markets in Spain is a directory of the country's street and municipal markets: the weekly mercadillos that take over a square for a morning, and the covered halls that trade through the week. It currently covers 4,394 markets across 17 regions, 50 provinces and 1,422 towns.

What's here

Every market has a page with its trading days and hours, where it sets up, roughly how many stalls it runs, and what is sold there. Town pages collect all of a place's markets into a single weekly timetable, so you can see what is on which day before planning a trip.

Where the information comes from

Records are compiled from market organisers, town hall listings and on-the-ground checks. Where something isn't confirmed (a stall count, an exact opening time), the page says so rather than guessing. There is more on this in how we verify this.
