La Matanza de Acentejo's farmers market, officially the Mercadillo del Agricultor El Vino y la Artesanía, is the town's main market. You can pick up Tenerife wines, organic produce, artisan cheeses and locally made crafts. The municipality sits at around 500 metres above sea level, and the cooler climate supports vineyards that produce some of the island's best wines.
