Fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and dairy, local honey, spices and herbs and prepared foods cover the food side, and the Thursday stalls are where the honey and natural cosmetics turn up. The rest of the trade is clothing and textiles, footwear and leather, jewellery, flowers and plants and organic products. La Pineda's craft and trades fair leans towards handicrafts and handmade goods, and it runs daily rather than weekly, so it is the fallback when you have missed the Thursday market.

Thursday is the day to come if you want the choice: three markets trading, including the 70-stall weekly market. Friday brings two, and every other day of the week has one. The commonest listed start across the four is 7pm, running through to midnight at the daily fair on the seafront, while the weekly markets are morning affairs that pack up in the early afternoon. Check the timetable above before setting out, and carry cash, since card acceptance varies from one stall to the next. Stay in Vila-seca Town Centre if the Thursday weekly market is what you came for, since it is walkable from the old town and you will not need a car for it. La Pineda has a broader choice of hotels and apartments at different price points, and puts you on the doorstep of the daily craft and trades fair and the Friday market, though you will want a car or the local bus for the Thursday market inland.
