Municipal Markets in Alcoi

Both markets stock fresh seafood, quality meats, seasonal vegetables and fruit, along with cheese, olives, bread and charcuterie. You'll also find cafes and prepared food stalls inside the markets.

Visit early in the morning, ideally by 10am, when the markets are busiest and produce selection is at its best. Bring a bag or basket for your shopping, and consider exploring both markets to compare offerings. Both markets sit close to the city centre, so a central base keeps you a short walk from Sant Mateu and Sant Roc. Centre has a good range of hotels and guesthouses at reasonable prices, while Hotel Reconquista is a reliable, comfortable option near the main squares and market areas. Arrive before 2pm, when both halls close, and remember Sant Roc doesn't trade on Saturdays.
