Street Markets in Real de Montroi

Neither market is large. The Real Saturday Street Market is the bigger of the two with 25 stalls, and the Montroy Monday Street Market runs around 20, set out along the street rather than under a roof. The mix leans towards clothing and footwear, with handicraft and jewellery stalls alongside a table or two of books and magazines. Arrive in the first hour, from 9am, for the fullest run of rails and tables. Both markets close at about 2pm and there is no afternoon session, so a late-morning arrival leaves little time. Bring cash, as many stall holders here do not take card payments, and note that neither market has a covered section for the middle of a summer day.

Real de Montroi is a small inland town in Valencia province and its accommodation is limited. Staying in the town centre puts both market streets within a short walk, which is the easiest way to be there for the 9am start without driving. Most visitors instead base themselves in Valencia city centre and drive out for the morning, which gives you a far wider choice of places to eat and sleep but does mean a car.
