Street Markets in Ainsa-Sobrarbe

Food leads across the four markets: fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese and dairy, meat and poultry, local honey, olive oil, nuts and dried fruit, spices and herbs, wine and prepared foods. The Morillo de Tou Organic Garden Market is where the organic produce concentrates, on Saturdays. Alongside the food you'll find clothing and textiles, footwear and leather, flowers and plants, and handicrafts, which is the mix the Ferieta carries at its full 100-stall size.

Aim to arrive within the first hour of the 9am start, since the 2pm close comes round quickly and the produce stalls thin out well before it. Bring cash, as smaller traders at an open-air market do not always take cards. Aínsa-Sobrarbe sits in the Pyrenean foothills and its markets are spread across the municipality rather than concentrated in one square, so a car is worth having if you want more than the nearest one. Stay in the walled old town if you want to walk to the markets: Casco Histórico puts you a few minutes from the Tuesday market and from the Ferieta crowds on a Sunday, which matters when parking fills early.
