Albacete Street Market
Tuesday market with 550 stalls at the Albacete fairgrounds, known locally as 'Los Invasores'.
Albacete Street Market sets up every Tuesday from 8am to 2pm at the Recinto Ferial fairgrounds in Albacete. With around 550 stalls, it's the largest street market in Castilla-La Mancha. Locals call it 'Los Invasores', a nickname from the 1960s when a TV series of the same name aired on Tuesdays and the image of stalls "invading" the fairgrounds stuck. Bring cash, as most stalls don't take cards. Get there early for the best selection, since stalls start packing up by early afternoon.
What you'll find
The market splits into two sections: around 470 general merchandise stalls and 85 food stalls. On the food side you'll find fresh fruit, vegetables, olive oil, nuts, spices, and local wines. The rest covers clothing, footwear, leather goods, jewellery, handicrafts, antiques, books, flowers, and household items. It's one of the few street markets in Albacete where you can pick up practically anything in one visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What day is Albacete Street Market? ▼
Albacete Street Market runs every Tuesday from 8am to 2pm, year-round. The only exception is during the Feria de Albacete in September, when the fairgrounds are used for the festival instead.
Why is it called Los Invasores? ▼
The nickname comes from the 1960s, when a popular TV series called 'Los Invasores' aired on Tuesday evenings. Since the market also ran on Tuesdays, locals joked that the stalls were "invading" the fairgrounds, and the name stuck.
Do I need cash at Albacete Street Market? ▼
Yes. Most stalls are cash-only, so withdraw money before you go. There's no ATM inside the market itself.
