Municipal Markets in Cartagena

The star of Cartagena's market scene is the Santa Florentina Market, a covered market hall on Calle Juan Fernández that dates back to 1910. Designed by local architect Tomás Rico, the building sits over layers of Roman and medieval remains. Inside you'll find around 25 stalls selling fresh fish, seafood, meat, cheese, and baked goods. It opens Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 14:00, so there's no excuse to miss it.
