Arrive early, ideally by 9am, to find the best selection of fresh produce and household items before the midday heat sets in. Markets typically close by 2pm. Bring cash as card acceptance at smaller stalls can be inconsistent.

Alfafar is a small town just south of Valencia city, so your best bet is to stay close to the action in Town Centre, within easy walking distance of the Tuesday and Friday stalls. If you'd rather be right on the doorstep, look for accommodation along Avenida de Gavina, close to where the markets set up.
