Street Markets in Oliva
Valencia, Valencian Community · 3 street markets
Oliva runs three street markets, each on a different clock. The Oliva Street Market sets up on Fridays from 9am to 2pm along Passeig Rei en Jaume I, with around 30 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables and clothing. The Oliva Sunday Flea Market takes the same 9am to 2pm slot on Sundays, near the church of Santa Maria la Major, and leans towards antiques and vintage finds. The Oliva Beach Summer Street Market is the odd one out: it runs every day of the week, in the evening from 4pm to 8pm, with clothing, footwear and jewellery stalls along the seafront. For the town's indoor market, see the municipal markets in Oliva; for everything together, see all markets in Oliva.

Tips for visiting
Card payment works at the Friday market, but the beach market takes cash only, so carry notes if you're going in the evening. For the Friday and Sunday markets, arrive close to the 9am opening for the best selection, since both close by 2pm. The beach market runs later instead, from 4pm to 8pm every day of the week, so there's no early start needed there. The Friday market is also the only one of the three that's wheelchair accessible.
Where to stay in Oliva
Town Centre puts you within walking distance of the Friday and Sunday markets, both close to the old town, without needing a car. If you'd rather be near the beach for the evening market, Playa de Oliva has plenty of apartments and hotels a short walk from the stalls, with the town itself just a short drive or bus ride away.
Are street markets in Oliva free to enter?
Yes, entry to Oliva's street markets is free. You only pay for what you buy at the stalls themselves, whether that's fresh produce at the Friday market on Passeig Rei en Jaume I, clothing and jewellery at the daily beach market, or a vintage find at the Sunday flea market near Santa Maria la Major.
What time do street markets in Oliva open?
The Oliva Street Market and the Oliva Sunday Flea Market both open at 9am and close at 2pm, the usual pattern for the town's Friday and Sunday markets. The Oliva Beach Summer Street Market runs to a different clock, setting up from 4pm to 8pm every day of the week, so it's the one to head for if mornings don't suit.
