Oliva Sunday Flea Market

Clothing and textiles are the market's single category, which is unusual for a Spanish street market and is what makes the Sunday rastro worth a detour: no fruit stalls, no household plastics, just rails and tables of garments and cloth. Everything is open air, with the stalls following the streets and small squares around Santa Maria la Major, so a wet Sunday morning is worth checking before you set off. Carry cash, since these are independent traders setting up for a few hours and card acceptance varies from one stall to the next.

Oliva is a small town, so staying central is your best bet. The Town Centre puts you within easy walking distance of the Sunday market and the old town, and there are plenty of apartments and smaller hotels to choose from along the seafront at Oliva Nova if you prefer to be near the beach.
