Markets in Pontevedra

The Pontevedra Municipal Market on Rúa Serra is the city's main covered market, with 25 stalls trading weekly. Inside you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, cheese and dairy products, all under one roof near the edge of the historic centre close to the Burgo Bridge. The upper floor houses Gastroespazo, a food hall opened in 2019 where visitors can eat dishes prepared with ingredients bought from the stalls below.

The largest street market is the Pontevedra Street Market, with 30 outdoor stalls selling clothing, footwear, handicrafts and books. The Sierra Street Sunday Market and Serra Street Market each run weekly with 25 stalls, between them covering antiques, jewellery, clothing, footwear and books. For organic produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and prepared foods, the Barcelos Organic Market is the dedicated eco option among Pontevedra's outdoor markets.
