Municipal Markets in Mataró

The city has four covered municipal markets open most days of the week. The Cuba Square Market on Plaça de Cuba is the largest and hosts culinary events including tastings and cooking workshops. Nearby, the Gran Square Market (known locally as El Rengle) occupies a distinctive Catalan Modernist building where all the stalls face outwards onto the street.

The Cerdanyola Market and the Puríssima Concepció Market serve their respective neighbourhoods with fresh produce, meat, fish, and dairy.
