Mercado municipal la antilla and four other markets make Lepe one of the better-served small towns along the Huelva coast for fresh produce and artisan goods. Across the two municipal halls and three open-air street markets, there are nearly 200 stalls running weekly, selling everything from fresh strawberries and seafood to handmade jewellery and clothing.

Where to stay in Lepe
Lepe is a small town, so your best bet is to stay close to the centre, where you can easily reach the local markets on foot. Town Centre puts you within walking distance of the main market areas and the everyday shops along the main streets.
If you prefer a bit more comfort or want to be near the coast, the area around Islantilla is just a short drive away and has more hotel options. Islantilla works well if you have a car and don't mind a quick trip into town for market days.

Municipal markets in Lepe
Both indoor markets run on a weekly schedule and between them cover the town centre and the La Antilla beach resort.
The Lepe Municipal Market is the larger of the two, with 25 stalls on Calle Iglesia in the town centre. It stocks fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, and cheese and dairy, making it the most practical stop in Lepe for a full grocery run.
The La Antilla Municipal Market has 15 stalls serving the beach resort side of the municipality. Its range covers fresh produce, fish and seafood, and bread and pastries, which makes it particularly useful in summer when La Antilla fills with visitors looking for everyday supplies close to the shore.
Street markets in Lepe
Lepe's three outdoor markets all run weekly and together add up to nearly 200 stalls across different product categories.
The largest is the La Antilla Weekly Market, with 120 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and dairy, bread and pastries, and clothing. It is the main open-air food market for the area and draws shoppers from across the municipality.
The Lepe Weekly Market runs in the town centre with 45 stalls. Its range is broader than the municipal options, covering fresh produce alongside clothing, footwear, and handicrafts.
The La Antilla Night Artisan Market is the most specialist of the three, with 31 stalls focused on handicrafts, jewellery, and clothing. As an evening market it suits visitors who spend their days at the beach and want to browse after dark.
Getting to Lepe
Lepe sits on the A-49 motorway between Huelva and Ayamonte, close to the Portuguese border. For official local information, the Ayuntamiento de Lepe covers town services and events. If you are touring the province, the markets in nearby Almonte are also worth the detour.
