Markets in Aguilar de Campoo

Markets in Aguilar de Campoo run every Tuesday in this small town in the Montaña Palentina, the mountainous north of Palencia province. The town is well known across Spain as the home of Fontaneda biscuits, but its weekly markets are worth a visit too.

Two street markets set up each Tuesday morning. The larger flea market takes over Plaza de España with around 50 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, honey, antiques, and handicrafts. You can also find organic products and locally made bread. The Tuesday produce market runs alongside it, focusing on fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and bakery goods.
