Sort Weekly Market

The market is compact enough to walk end to end in ten minutes, and busiest in the first couple of hours after it opens at 8am. Stalls begin packing up before the 2pm finish, so arriving after midday means a thinner choice.

With 25 stalls this is a village-scale market, priced for people doing their weekly shop. Tuesday is the only day it runs, so if you are staying in the valley for a week that is the morning to keep free.

The food stalls cover seasonal fruit and vegetables, freshly baked bread, and cheese and dairy. The rest of the market is clothing and textiles, from work trousers and socks to bedding and fabric by the metre, the kind of stock that saves a drive down the valley to a bigger town.

Sort is a small town, so staying central is the smart move. The Town Centre puts you within easy walking distance of the weekly market and the town's bars and restaurants.

Avinguda de la Diputació Provincial is the main road through the centre of Sort, so the market is unmissable once you are in town. By car, the C-13 runs to Sort from Tremp to the south and La Seu d'Urgell direction to the north, and there is parking nearby.
