Markets in Prades
Tarragona, Catalonia
Markets in Prades centre on a single weekly street market held every Friday morning in this red-stone medieval village in the Prades Mountains of Tarragona province. One market, 15 stalls, and a square that has served the village for centuries.

Where to stay in Prades
Prades is a small mountain village, so accommodation options are limited but charming. Your best bet is to stay in Town Centre, where you can walk to the market square easily, or look for a rural house or hostal in the surrounding area.
If you prefer a bit more choice, the nearby town of Reus makes a comfortable base with good road links up to Prades. From there you can drive into the village for market days without any trouble.

Street markets in Prades
The Prades Weekly Market runs every Friday from 08:00 to 14:00 in Plaça Major, the main square at the heart of the old town. Around 15 stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and pastries, local honey, and olive oil sourced from the surrounding mountain countryside. Cash is accepted at all stalls, and most also take contactless payments. Prades sits above 900 metres in the Serra de Prades, so the market has a noticeably cooler atmosphere than coastal equivalents even in summer.
For larger market options in the province, Reus and Cambrils are both within easy driving distance and offer more variety across the week. You can also find details about visiting Prades on the official Prades municipality website.
