Salou Carboot

Stalls sell antiques, clothing and textiles, and footwear and leather goods. That is a narrower spread than a general Spanish mercadillo, and it is the point: this is a rastrillo, closer to a British car boot sale than to a fruit-and-vegetable street market. Everything trades outdoors on the car park tarmac, so the stock on any given week is whatever the sellers have brought with them.

Salou is a compact resort town, so you're never far from the action. Staying in the Town Centre puts you within easy reach of the market and the beach, while Hotel Salou Pacific is a reliable, well-located option if you want somewhere straightforward and comfortable.

If you'd rather be closer to the seafront, Llevant Beach Area has plenty of hotels and apartments at different price points, and it's still a short walk to where the car boot sets up.
