Costello Market

The space was created by Paco and Dani Marín, the team behind Costello Río, and is laid out like a traditional Spanish market with themed stalls rather than a conventional restaurant floor. The interior features hand-painted murals, wooden furniture, and a central bar with visible copper beer tanks.

Located next to Matadero Madrid and the Casa del Reloj, it sits in a quieter part of Arganzuela. Among municipal markets in Madrid, this one stands apart for its evening hours and live music programming.

The stalls cover prepared food, wine and spirits, coffee, bread, and cheese. You'll find Spanish classics like potato omelette and ham croquettes, Galician-style octopus and padron peppers, gildas and anchovies, and Guadarrama beef burgers.

Arganzuela is a residential district, so most people visiting Costello Market base themselves closer to the centre and travel down. The Malasaña neighbourhood is full of good places to eat and drink after you've browsed the stalls.
