Clothing and textiles take up the biggest share of the 120 stalls, alongside footwear and leather goods: jackets, trousers, shoes and bags, priced for a weekly shop rather than a boutique.

The antiques stalls are the reason a lot of people come, with furniture, tools and decorative pieces changing hands week to week. Fresh vegetables fill out the rest, which is what makes this a practical Sunday morning stop as well as a browse.

Ontinyent is a compact town, so staying central puts you close to everything. The Town Centre is your best bet, with easy walking distance to the Sunday market and the old quarter. For a comfortable base, El Raval is a quiet residential area just a short stroll from the action.
