Puerto Real Municipal Market

The building is declared a historic and artistic ensemble, and its neoclassical facade on Calle Soledad is one of Puerto Real's recognisable landmarks. Inside, the four interior passages give the market a calm, ordered feel, quite different from the modern covered markets built elsewhere in Andalusia.

With 15 stalls, it is a small municipal market, but serves the town well with a focused range of quality produce. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. Cash and mobile payments are both accepted.

Fresh fish and seafood from the Bay of Cádiz are the highlight: expect seasonal catches depending on what's been landed that week. You'll also find stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, and local cheese and dairy. Arrive early for the best selection — most regulars shop before 10am.

The market is at Soledad, 2, right in the town centre. It's walkable from Puerto Real's main square. Buses connect Puerto Real with Cádiz and San Fernando, stopping within easy walking distance. Street parking is available nearby but fills quickly on weekday mornings.
