2 markets in Almunecar Verified information

Almuñécar sits on Granada's Costa Tropical, a stretch of coastline where the climate is warm enough to grow avocados, mangos and cherimoyas year round. The markets in Almunecar reflect that, with stalls stocked full of subtropical fruit you won't find at most Spanish markets. The town has two regular markets to explore.

La Herradura municipal market

Out in the coastal village of La Herradura, the municipal market on Paseo Andrés Segovia opens Monday to Saturday. It's a small covered market with around 15 stalls selling fresh fish, seafood, meat, cheese, bread and prepared foods. Worth a stop if you're staying along that part of the coast.

If you're exploring the wider Granada province, the nearby towns of Motril and Salobrena both have their own markets. You can find more about the region on the Granada provincial tourism website.
