Municipal market in Motril
The Mercado Municipal de Motril sits on Avenida de San Agustín and has been trading since 1955. Inside you'll find around 25 stalls selling fresh fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, bread, and cheese. It's open Monday to Saturday mornings, so there's no need to plan around a specific market day. If you're heading further into the province, Granada has several more municipal markets worth exploring.
Street market in Motril
Motril's open-air street market sets up along the Rambla de los Álamos every Tuesday and Friday morning. Around 40 stalls sell clothing, footwear, leather goods, jewellery, and handicrafts. It runs from 9:00 to around 14:00. The nearby coastal towns of Almuñécar and Salobreña also hold regular street markets on different days.
