Sant Salvador Municipal Market

The market opened in 1983 and was comprehensively renovated in 2001, when its current layout of food stalls alongside a self-service supermarket was established. A further renovation in 2014 brought additional modernisation. It is one of two municipal markets in Vilafranca del Penedès, with each serving a different part of town. On Tuesday mornings, a non-sedentary market also sets up in the same space, adding further variety to the weekly offer.

The stalls cover the full range of daily fresh food: seasonal fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, cheese and dairy, and freshly baked bread. Everything you need for daily cooking is under one roof.
