Roses Municipal Market

This is an indoor market, so the counters trade under cover whatever the weather off the bay. The whole building is wheelchair accessible, and stalls take cards, contactless and mobile payments as well as cash.

Mornings are the whole of the trading day. With a 1:30pm close from Monday to Friday, arriving after midday means a thinning choice at the fish and meat counters. Sunday is the exception, with the doors open until 3pm.

Fish and seafood are the reason most people come, and the counters are the first thing regulars head for when the market opens at 8am. Alongside them you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, cheese and dairy, and bread and bakery stalls, which between them cover an entire week's shopping without leaving the building.

Staying near the seafront puts you within easy walking distance of the market and the old town. Town Centre is your best base, with plenty of accommodation options close to everything. For something more comfortable, Hotel Montecarlo Roses and Hotel Almadraba Park are both well-regarded choices with good access to the town.
