Everything is outdoors, with no indoor hall or covered section, so on a hot Friday the earlier you arrive the more comfortable it is. The stalls come down at 3pm.

Dogs on leads are welcome along the row of stalls. It is one of several street markets in Benalmádena, each on its own day, and one of many across Málaga province.

Clothing and textiles take up the largest share of the 40 stalls, with footwear and leather goods behind them: sandals, belts, purses and handbags. Beyond that there are handicraft stalls, plus a stall or two of books and magazines. There is no fresh produce and no fish counter, so treat it as a clothes and gifts market.

Arroyo de la Miel is the inland part of Benalmádena, away from the seafront, and staying in Arroyo de la Miel itself puts you within walking distance of Avenida Manantial, so you can reach the stalls at 9am without driving in. For the beach instead, Benalmadena Costa is the alternative base.
