The Teror market is one of Gran Canaria's oldest and most popular street markets, with over 200 years of history. Every Sunday, stalls line the streets around the Basílica del Pino in this traditional hilltop town about 20 km from Las Palmas.

Teror's Sunday market is famous for chorizo de Teror, a soft, spiced sausage spread that you won't find anywhere else on the island. Grab a chorizo sandwich with local cheese from one of the food stalls. Beyond the food, you'll find handicrafts, clothing, jewellery, and plants across around 30 stalls. You can find more about the town on the official Gran Canaria tourism website.

The Teror Street Market runs every Sunday from 9am to 3pm in the historic centre, set around the Plaza de Sintes and the streets leading to the basilica. The market is wheelchair accessible and has a children's play area. Arrive before mid-morning to avoid the crowds, and bring cash as not all stalls accept cards. Nearby Arucas also has markets worth checking out if you're spending the weekend in northern Gran Canaria.
