The market runs weekly with 100 stalls strung out between calle 11 and Plaza de las Palmeras, a few steps from the sand. Because it starts at 5pm or 6pm and trades into the night at the weekend, it works better as an after-the-beach stroll than a morning errand. Sunday is the shortest session, closing at 10pm, so arrive by early evening if you want to see the full run of stalls.

Handicrafts and jewellery dominate, with stalls selling handmade pieces alongside clothing and textiles. Prepared food stalls are the other half of the appeal, and they are the reason the Friday and Saturday sessions stay busy past 10pm: you can eat as you walk the promenade. It is an open-air market with no indoor hall, so it is worth bringing some cash, as outdoor stalls will not all take cards.
