Fresh fruit and vegetables sit alongside clothing and textile rails, and prepared food stalls make up the rest of the 35 pitches. That mix makes it a general market rather than a produce market, so a Saturday morning here is as much for a jacket as for tomatoes. Girona's old town is roughly 10 minutes' walk from the Devesa, which makes it the easiest base for a Saturday morning at the market. Try the Hotel Llegendes de Girona Catedral for something atmospheric, or Barri Vell for a choice of smaller guesthouses in the old quarter. If you prefer something more modern, AC Hotel Palau de Bellavista sits just outside the old walls, still within walking distance of the park.
