Where to stay in Mojacar
Staying in Mojacar Pueblo, the hilltop old town, puts you close to the weekly street market and within easy walking distance of the village squares and local shops. For beach access alongside your market visits, Mojacar Playa has plenty of hotels and apartments right on the coast, just a short drive from the pueblo.
If you want something more comfortable and central, Parador de Mojacar is a reliable choice on the seafront with good links to both parts of town.

Market days in Mojacar
Only two days of the week carry a market here. Wednesday has one, Sunday has two, and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday have none, which catches out visitors arriving for a Saturday morning browse.
Nine in the morning is the safe arrival time on either day. The one exception is the antiques market, which does not open until 10am but then trades an hour later than anything else in town.

If you are making a single trip and antiques are the draw, this is the one to plan around.
The Mojácar Sunday Flea Market runs the same morning from 9am to 2pm on Plaza Nueva, in the centro histórico, the hilltop old town people search for as Mojácar Pueblo. It mixes books and magazines with more antiques, and stall numbers are not recorded, so treat it as the smaller of the two Sunday markets.
