Markets in Ubeda

Markets in Ubeda give you a taste of daily life in this UNESCO World Heritage city in the province of Jaén. The city has two covered food markets and a weekly street market, all within easy walking distance of the Renaissance old town.

The Úbeda Food Market on Plaza Gallego Díaz is the main spot for fresh produce, meat, fish and cheese. For a different feel, Mercado de la Barqueta on Avenida Ciudad de Linares serves the newer part of town. On Fridays, the open-air street market on Calle Bétula brings around 40 stalls selling clothing, leather goods, handicrafts and antiques. Úbeda sits in the heart of Jaén's olive oil country, so look out for locally pressed extra virgin olive oil at any of these markets.
