Úbeda Street Market

The market leans heavily towards clothing and textiles, with footwear and leather goods making up a good chunk of the stalls. You'll also find handicrafts, secondhand books, magazines and antiques worth picking through. It's not a food market, so if you're after fresh produce, head to the Úbeda Food Market on Plaza Gallego Díaz instead.

Staying in Úbeda's historic centre puts you within easy walking distance of the street market and the city's remarkable Renaissance architecture. The Casco Histórico is your best base, with plenty of hotels and guesthouses right in the heart of things. For something more comfortable, Parador de Ubeda is a stunning option set in a 16th-century palace on the main square.

If the Parador is out of budget, Hotel Palacio de Ubeda offers a solid central alternative at a more accessible price. Either way, you won't need a car to reach the market, which makes the old town the obvious choice for a visit.
