Cártama Station Street Market sets up every Sunday from 9am to 2:30pm on Calle Coral and Avenida Francisco Gómez Cañete in Estación de Cártama, a small town in the Guadalhorce Valley about 20 minutes inland from Málaga. Around 40 stalls line the streets next to Los Naranjos park, selling clothing, handicrafts, footwear, leather goods and flowers. Both cash and card payments are accepted. Get there early for the best picks, as stalls start packing up well before closing time.
What you'll find
The market leans towards clothing, shoes and leather goods, with a good selection of handicrafts and seasonal flowers and plants. On the first Sunday of each month, a CártamaEco ecological market runs alongside the regular stalls in Los Naranjos park, where local producers sell organic vegetables, honey, oils and handmade goods.

Where to stay in Estación de Cártama
Estación de Cártama is a small town, so most visitors stay nearby in Málaga city or along the Costa del Sol and make a day trip out for the Sunday market. Málaga City Centre puts you about 20 minutes away by train, with plenty of hotels to suit every budget.
If you prefer something closer, Alhaurín el Grande is just a short drive away and has a relaxed, local feel. You can be at the market in minutes and still have easy access to the coast for the rest of your trip.
