Marbella Ecological Market

Twenty-five or so stalls make this one of the smaller markets on the Costa del Sol, and it is deliberately narrow: everything on sale is organic. It runs in the open air, with no hall and no shelter beyond the stalls' own awnings, and it packs away at 2pm. The site is wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly.

Fresh fruit and vegetables take up most of the stalls, following whatever is in season rather than a fixed list. Alongside them you'll find olive oil and local honey, plus flowers and plants if you want something for a terrace or a rented apartment. The rest of the stalls cover other certified organic goods.

Staying in Casco Antiguo (Old Town) puts you close to the ecological market and within easy walking distance of the best of Marbella's historic centre. For something more upscale, Marbella Club Hotel is a classic choice along the Golden Mile, with easy access to the city by car or taxi.

If you prefer a central base with good value, Puerto Banús is popular with visitors who want to combine market trips with the marina atmosphere, and it's just a short drive from the market site.
