Where to stay in Ronda
Staying in the old town puts you within walking distance of Ronda's main market spots and the famous gorge. The Casco Antiguo is the most convenient base, with plenty of hotels and guesthouses along its historic streets. For something more comfortable, Hotel Montelirio and Parador de Ronda are both well-placed options with great views over the Tajo.
If those are out of your budget, there are good mid-range choices just across the Puente Nuevo in the newer part of town, and you can easily walk back into the centre for the markets.

The San Cristóbal Municipal Market, known locally as the Mercado de Abastos, sits on Calle Jaén close to the old town. Its 25 stalls run Monday to Saturday mornings and cover the full range of fresh produce: fruit, vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, cheese and dairy, and bread and pastries. It is a compact indoor market with a strong local feel, and the best place in Ronda to shop for everyday ingredients alongside residents rather than tourists.
Street markets in Ronda
Ronda's weekly street market takes place every Sunday morning along the Carretera de Circunvalación. Around 40 stalls spread out along the route, selling clothing, footwear, leather goods, and handicrafts. It pulls shoppers in from surrounding villages across the Serranía and is a relaxed morning out whether you are after something practical or just browsing. For comparison, markets in Málaga city and markets in Marbella offer larger street market scenes along the coast.
