Markets in Galdar
Las Palmas, Canary Islands
Markets in Gáldar centre around La Recova, the town's municipal market on Calle Capitán Quesada. Built in 1945 and still operating with its original iron entrance gates, this indoor market has around 25 stalls selling fresh produce, meat, bakery goods, and prepared foods. It opens Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 14:00.
Gáldar sits on the northwest coast of Gran Canaria and is known for its local onions and cheeses from nearby Guía. Inside La Recova you'll also find murals by the local artist Diego Higueras, created as a tribute to the painter Antonio Padrón.
If you're exploring other markets in the area, the Sunday market in Teror and markets in Arucas are both a short drive away. You can also use our markets near me tool to find what's open today.
