Reus Market

The market runs under the town council as an everyday food hall rather than a weekly street market, opening six mornings out of seven. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday finish at 3.30pm; Thursday and Friday run four and a half hours longer, to 8pm. Everything is under cover, and the market is recorded as wheelchair accessible, so the counters are reachable without steps or an open square to cross. Cash, contactless cards and mobile payments are all accepted.

It is one of the municipal markets in Reus, alongside the larger Mercat Central Reus, and the city also runs street markets on their own days.

The 35 stalls cover the full everyday shop: fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, cheese and dairy, and bread and bakery goods. There is no clothing or craft trade here, which is what separates it from the open-air markets elsewhere in Tarragona province. Fish and produce are best early, before the 3.30pm close on the four shorter days.
