Twenty-five stalls trade under one roof, which is why a full shop here takes minutes rather than a morning. The hall is entirely indoors and wheelchair-accessible throughout, and stalls take cash, contactless and mobile payments. The Friday evening session, 5pm to 8:30pm, is the only time in the week the market trades after 2pm.

Inside you'll find the full range of everyday market goods: fresh fruit and vegetables, butchers, fishmongers, cheese and dairy stalls, and a bakery counter. For a wider selection, the municipal markets in Reus also include the larger Mercat Central.

Reus is a compact city, so staying central puts you within easy walking distance of the Carrilet Market and the old town. Reus City Centre is your best bet, with a good mix of hotels and apartments at reasonable prices.

The market is on Carretera de Salou in the southeast of Reus. There is an underground car park directly beneath the building with space for 130 vehicles, making it straightforward to reach by car. On Wednesdays, the surrounding area fills with the Mercat dels Marxants, an open-air street market with around 200 stalls spread across 13,000 m².
