Coia Street Market

Clothing makes up the bulk of the 25 stalls, from everyday wear to seasonal items. You'll also find shoes, boots and leather goods, plus a handful of stalls with handmade crafts, books and magazines. The mix is practical rather than artisan, geared towards residents picking up affordable basics. Food is not part of it, so for fresh produce head to one of Vigo's municipal markets instead. Galicia's tourism board lists the market as Mercadillo de Coia.

Staying in central Vigo puts you in easy reach of the Coia Street Market and the city's other main attractions. The Casco Vello is a good base with plenty of character, and NH Collection Vigo is a solid mid-range pick right in the heart of things.

If you prefer somewhere closer to the Coia neighbourhood itself, look at options around Coia, where you'll find quieter, more residential surroundings at generally lower prices than the city centre.

The market sets up near Parque da Bouza in Coia, 36209 Vigo. Bus lines C4A and C4B stop on Calle Padre Seixas, and lines C3, L12A and L10 run along nearby Avenida Castelao. Parking is available, and if you arrive before 10am you should find street parking in the surrounding residential streets without trouble.
