Maspalomas Flea Market (Rastro de Maspalomas) is the Sunday rastro in Maspalomas, on Gran Canaria in the province of Las Palmas. It sets up on Avenida Alejandro del Castillo, next to the Mercado Municipal, and runs from 8am to 2pm with 150 stalls of second-hand clothing, textiles and antiques. Bring cash, as the stalls do not take cards.
About Maspalomas Flea Market
This is a flea market rather than a produce market, so the 150 stalls deal in clothing and old things rather than fruit and fish. It is entirely outdoors, laid out along the avenue beside the covered Mercado Municipal building, and it trades once a week only, on Sunday morning. By 2pm the trestle tables are packed away and the avenue is back to normal.
What you'll find at Maspalomas Flea Market
Clothing and textiles take up most of the stalls, much of it pre-owned, sorted into piles and rails you dig through yourself. The rest is antiques and bric-a-brac: old glassware, ornaments, tools, records, jewellery and small furniture. Prices are not fixed, and two neighbouring tables can be selling the same style of shirt at different money, so walk the full length once before buying.
Where to stay in Maspalomas
Staying close to the market is easy in Maspalomas. Riu Palace Maspalomas and Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort Spa & Casino are both well-placed options with plenty of comfort after a morning of browsing. If you prefer more flexibility, Playa del Inglés has a good mix of apartments and hotels within easy reach.

What day is Maspalomas Flea Market?
Maspalomas Flea Market runs every Sunday from 8am to 2pm, and on no other day of the week. The 150 stalls set up along Avenida Alejandro del Castillo next to the Mercado Municipal, and by early afternoon the tables are packed away, so a Sunday morning is the only chance to catch it.
Is the flea market the same as the Mercado Municipal?
No, Maspalomas Flea Market is a separate open-air market that sets up on Avenida Alejandro del Castillo beside the Mercado Municipal building rather than inside it. The rastro is 150 stalls of second-hand clothing, textiles and antiques, and it trades on Sunday mornings only, from 8am to 2pm.
Do I need cash at Maspalomas Flea Market?
Yes, bring cash to Maspalomas Flea Market, since the stalls do not take card payments. There are 150 of them trading along Avenida Alejandro del Castillo on Sunday mornings, and rastro prices are not fixed, so small notes and coins also make it easier to settle on a figure for a jacket or a piece of glassware.
