Spring-South Craft Fair at Maspalomas Lighthouse

Handicrafts are the only product category the fair lists, so come for the work of local makers rather than for fruit, fish or clothing rails. What each trader brings changes from one weekend to the next, and with four trading days a week the line-up is not fixed. Maspalomas is a beach resort at the southern tip of Gran Canaria, so staying close to the lighthouse area puts you right on the doorstep of the fair. The Playa del Inglés strip has plenty of hotels at different price points and is an easy walk or short bus ride from the event.

If you want something more upmarket, the Riu Palace Maspalomas sits near the dunes and is a solid choice for comfort and location. Budget-conscious visitors will find good value options around Maspalomas Centro, with easy access to the fair and the beach.

The fair runs in Jardines Faro de Maspalomas, the gardens that ring the lighthouse at the far south of the island, a walkable distance from the Maspalomas dunes and the beachfront. Everything is outdoors, so shade and weather are worth a thought before you set off for a 9am start.
