Markets in Sitges

The Sitges Municipal Market on Avinguda d'Artur Carbonell is the town's main covered food hall, with 25 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and poultry, fish and seafood, and cheese and dairy. It opens Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am, making it the most reliable option if you want to pick up fresh local produce. Its location near the train station means you can stop in easily before heading to the beach or the old town.

The largest street market is the Thursday market on Passeig de Vilafranca, where around 40 stalls sell clothing, footwear, jewellery and handicrafts. It's the biggest single market day in Sitges by stall count and draws a steady crowd of both locals and visitors.

The Sitges Craft and Gift Market runs weekly with 30 outdoor stalls focused on handicrafts and jewellery, making it a good complement to the Thursday market if you're looking for something handmade or unique. The Mediterrani Market also runs outdoors weekly, covering clothing, jewellery and footwear, though its exact stall count varies.

The Mercat de la Terra Sitges brings 25 indoor stalls of fresh food including fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, and cheese and dairy. On Saturdays, a smaller eight-stall market adds olive oil, nuts and dried fruits alongside fresh produce. If you're travelling along the coast, the nearby markets in Vilanova i la Geltrú and Vilafranca del Penedès are also worth considering for a day trip.
