Around 40 stalls of clothing, footwear, jewellery and crafts on Passeig de Vilafranca, every Thursday from 8am to 2pm.

Sitges Thursday Market sets up every Thursday from 8am to 2pm on Passeig de Vilafranca, next to the entrance to Can Robert park. Around 40 stalls line the street, one of two weekly street markets in Sitges and part of the wider run of markets in Sitges. Traders take cash and some accept mobile payments. Stalls start packing up well before the 2pm close.

What you'll find at Sitges Thursday Market

Clothing dominates: casual wear, footwear, leather bags and belts across most of the 40 stalls, with jewellery and handmade crafts filling the rest. Home accessories, bed linen, kitchen utensils and plants turn up too. For fruit and vegetables use the Saturday market on Plaça de Catalunya instead, and for fish, meat and cheese the Mercat Municipal de Sitges on Avinguda d'Artur Carbonell trades six days a week.

Where to stay in Sitges

Staying in the old town puts you a few minutes' walk from Passeig de Vilafranca, and Casco Antiguo has the widest choice close to the stalls. Hotel Romantic Sitges is the step up. For the seafront instead, Passeig de la Ribera lines the promenade.

What day is Sitges market?

Sitges Thursday Market runs every Thursday from 8am to 2pm on Passeig de Vilafranca, selling clothing, footwear, jewellery and crafts. Sitges also has a second weekly street market on Saturdays at Plaça de Catalunya, which is the one to use for fresh produce.

What can you buy at Sitges Thursday Market?

Sitges Thursday Market's 40 or so stalls sell clothing, footwear, leather goods, jewellery and handicrafts, with home accessories, kitchen items, bed linen and plants alongside them. It is a fashion and household goods market rather than a food one, so plan on browsing clothes and gifts rather than shopping for a meal.

Where exactly is the Sitges Thursday market?

Sitges Thursday Market runs along Passeig de Vilafranca, 1, next to the entrance to Can Robert park, a short walk inland from Sitges railway station. The stalls follow the street rather than filling a square, and the site is wheelchair accessible. From Barcelona, the R2 South line reaches the station in about 40 minutes.

Do you need cash at Sitges Thursday Market?

Yes, cash is the safest thing to carry at Sitges Thursday Market, since acceptance varies from one trader to the next and only some stalls take mobile payments. Cash machines sit near the train station and along Carrer de Jesús, both a few minutes from Passeig de Vilafranca.
