Sitges Craft and Gift Market

Locally it is the Fira-Mercat d'Artesania i Regals de Sitges, and the artesania label is the honest one: this is a gift and craft fair rather than a food or clothing market. It is entirely open-air, the stalls facing the sea along the promenade. The seven-day schedule is what sets it apart from the town's other markets, which run on fixed weekdays. Thirty stalls, all of them handicrafts and jewellery. Expect handmade pieces from the makers themselves rather than mass-produced souvenirs. Everything sits outdoors on the promenade, so the stall lineup can vary with the weather.

Staying near the old town is your best bet, and the Town Centre keeps you right in the thick of things.

For something with a bit more style, Hotel Calipolis sits along the seafront and is an easy walk from the market streets. If you prefer a quieter base, Terramar is a relaxed residential area just a short stroll from the action.

The market occupies the stretch of Passeig Marítim de Sitges between Avinguda Sofia and Carrer Antoni Cartró, a flat ten-minute walk from the old town along the seafront.
