Tours & Activities in Benissa
Municipal market
The Benissa Municipal Market is an indoor hall open Monday to Saturday with around 10 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, and bread. It's a good stop for everyday groceries if you're staying in the area.
Saturday street market
Every Saturday from 8am to 1:30pm, around 30 stalls set up along Carrer Hort de Bordes and Carrer San Nicolás. You'll find seasonal fruit and vegetables from local market gardens, honey, preserves, cured meats, clothing, footwear, and plants. The second Saturday of each month also brings the Mercat dels Porxes, a smaller artisan market running 9am to 2pm (not held in July or August).
Visiting Benissa's markets
Saturday morning is the day to come. The street market and municipal market are steps apart, so you can cover both in one visit. For full details on market schedules, check the Benissa tourism portal. Nearby Dénia and Altea hold markets on other days of the week.
