Markets in Denia

Staying in the Old Town puts you within easy walking distance of the weekly market and the covered food market, and there are plenty of good hotels and apartments to choose from. The Port Area is another solid option, especially if you want to combine market visits with easy access to the waterfront restaurants and ferry connections.

If you prefer something more comfortable, Hotel Chamarel is a well-regarded choice close to the centre, making early morning market trips simple without needing a car.

Seven street markets set up around Dénia across the week, the biggest being Dénia Street Market at 30 stalls, weighted towards clothing and textiles, footwear and leather, handicrafts, and flowers and plants. The rest split roughly two ways: produce markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts and dried fruits, local honey and organic products from the Marina Alta, and flea and collectors' markets running to antiques and jewellery.

All seven have a confirmed trading day, so nothing here is a rumour you have to check on arrival. Most open at 8am and are packing away by 3pm, which makes them a morning errand rather than an afternoon one.
