Markets in Denia

Dénia Municipal Market on Carrer Magallanes is the town's main indoor market, open Monday to Saturday from 8am across 25 stalls. It focuses on daily essentials: fresh fish and seafood, meat and poultry, vegetables, bread and pastries, and cheese and dairy. It is the largest municipal market in Dénia and the most reliable stop for fresh produce year-round.

The Trocotro Dénia Market operates from the same building and carries a similar range of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and bread and pastries. Mercado Callejero rounds out the indoor options with fresh produce, meat, bread and clothing stalls.

Dénia Street Market is the largest open-air market in town, running weekly with 30 stalls selling clothing, footwear, handicrafts and flowers and plants. The Dénia Friday Street Market, with 25 stalls on Carrer de la Via, takes a different approach and focuses on food: fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and dried fruits, local honey and organic produce from farms in the Marina Alta valley.

Dénia Mercat de la Terra and Rastro combines fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, handicrafts and antiques in a single weekly outdoor market, making it one of the more distinctive stops in the area. The Dénia Port Hippie Market draws a different crowd with jewellery, footwear, handicrafts and clothing near the port. Jesús Pobre Antiques and Collectors Fair and the Mercat del Riurau de Jesús Pobre, held in the nearby village of Jesús Pobre, are worth the short trip for antiques, collectors' items and organic produce alongside bread and fresh vegetables.

The remaining street markets, including the Dénia Weekly Street Market with clothing, jewellery and handicrafts, run weekly and are smaller in scale but easy to combine with visits to the main market days.
