The 33 stalls cover all the fresh food basics: fish and seafood, meat and poultry, vegetables and fruit, cheese and dairy, and bread. The fish section draws regular customers, particularly during weekday mornings when selection is at its best. You'll also find olives, pickled goods, cured meats, and dried fruits. There's a café inside the market too, so a coffee mid-shop is easy.

The market has three entrances: the main one on Plaza de Madrid nº 14, plus access from Calle José García Ferrández nº 12 and Calle José Navarro Orts nº 13. Municipal buses stop near the plaza and the central location is walkable from much of the city. Street parking is available around the square but fills quickly on busy mornings.
