Around 300 stalls set up on Wednesday evenings, 4pm to 10pm, but only in June, July and August. Known locally as the Mercadillo de Torre de la Horadada.

Torre de la Horadada Summer Market sets up on Wednesday evenings in June, July and August, filling Avenida Costa Blanca, Parque Antonio Gálvez, Calle Corbeta and Calle de los Ángeles. Around 300 stalls trade from 4pm to 10pm, late enough that most people arrive after the beach rather than before it. The evening hours make it a night market in all but name. For the rest of the year, see all markets in Pilar de la Horadada or the town's other street markets.

What you'll find at Torre de la Horadada Summer Market

Fresh fruit and vegetables take up a large share of the 300 stalls, alongside flowers and plants. Clothing, textiles, footwear and leather goods fill the longer stretches of Avenida Costa Blanca.

There is cheese and dairy too, and prepared food to eat on the spot.

Where to stay in Pilar de la Horadada

Torre de la Horadada is a small coastal resort, so staying near the beach puts you within walking distance of the stalls. Try Torre de la Horadada for easy walking distance to the summer market, or look for accommodation in Pilar de la Horadada centre if you prefer a quieter base with a short drive down to the coast. Book early for July and August, when this stretch of the Costa Blanca is fullest.

What day is Torre de la Horadada Summer Market?

Torre de la Horadada Summer Market runs on Wednesdays, from 4pm to 10pm. It is weekly rather than fortnightly or monthly, so the stalls are out along Avenida Costa Blanca and Parque Antonio Gálvez every Wednesday of its season. There is no market here on a Wednesday in winter.

What months does Torre de la Horadada Summer Market run?

Torre de la Horadada Summer Market runs in June, July and August only. A Wednesday visit in May or September will find the streets empty, because the market is tied to the Costa Blanca holiday season. Within those three months it sets up every week without a break.

Is Torre de la Horadada Summer Market a night market?

Torre de la Horadada Summer Market trades from 4pm to 10pm, which makes it an evening market rather than the usual Spanish morning one. That timing is why French and Dutch visitors search for it as the marché nocturne or the avondmarkt. All 300 stalls keep the same hours.

What can I buy at Torre de la Horadada Summer Market?

Torre de la Horadada Summer Market's 300 stalls sell fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants, clothing and textiles, footwear and leather goods, cheese and dairy, and prepared food. It is a general street market rather than a food market, so produce shares the pavement with the clothing rails.
